Facebook Losing Top Managers

It looks like it’s not only shareholders who keep losing interest in the world’s most popular social networking website Facebook. It turned out that the company’s high-ranking staff have started to see the writing on the wall, as they collectively cleaned out their desks and moved on for pastures new.

The social networking giant had to admit that 4 high-ranking managers have left Facebook a week ago. Among the top managers who decided that the grass will be greener somewhere else there were:
- Kate Mitic, platform marketing director,
- Ethan Beard, director of platform partnerships,
- Ben Blumenfeld, design manager,
- Jonathan Matus, mobile platform marketing manager.

All the top managers have publicly announced that they did enjoy their time at Facebook, but now are ready for new challenges, more exciting than this company could offer them.

For instance, Ethan Beard has admitted that he had mixed emotions when leaving Facebook after almost 5 years at the company. However, he didn’t reveal what he is going to do now. Kate Mitic announced that after 2 years at the social network, she is going to move on to work on a mobile startup enterprise that she is launching in California. By the way, Jonathan Matus was noticed saying something similar. As for Ben Blumenfeld, he is moving on to the Designer Fund, an angel fund for designers, where he is a co-founder. This fund supports entrepreneurial designers that run businesses with a positive social impact.

However, the alarming part for Facebook is that if these 4 exits are a larger trend, the company might consider the idea of making some changes in order to retain the top managers. The popularity of the network doesn’t suffer, but the one of the company for some reason does.
